If you follow celebrity news there's a good chance that you've already heard of Château de Tourreau, but trust us when we say that the beauty in this stunning wedding venue in Provence runs more than skin deep.
It has what is probably the most breathtaking swimming pool in the whole region; 13 feet deep and with enough space for your whole wedding party to take a dip or laze on the deck. It also has a beautiful lawn, resplendent with its own fountain and plenty of room for a marquee, as well as sport and fitness facilities on site.
We love so many things about Château de Tourreau and it's difficult for words and photographs to do it justice, so make sure you watch the drone video that we made on our most recent visit - if you're interested in getting married here get in touch; we offer full service wedding planning as well as design consultation; the design opportunities are endless!
Château de Tourreau is located in Sarrians, just over an hour from Marseille Provence Airport and half an hour from Avignon city centre in the South of France, making it convenient for guests flying in from all around the world.
• The château sleeps 29 people, 15 in the main house and 14 in the guest house. There are plenty of good B&Bs and hotels within 30 minutes for other guests.
• The rental period for weddings is 4 days/3 nights, so you'll need a good budget to get married here, especially if you'd like to have activities for your guests on the days surrounding your wedding.
• Château de Tourreau has its own chapel, so you can get married, have your reception and stay all in one place, perfect for weddings with lots of family and friends who've come from abroad.
• The swimming pool is AMAZING! There is also a squash court on site, a fitness centre, a pool table and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, all for your use.
Multi-day, outdoor weddings that take place here from start to finish work brilliantly. For example, you can have a welcome BBQ on day 1, followed by the wedding the next day, activities the following day and then a farewell brunch as your guests wave goodbye as you head off on your honeymoon.
All events here must take place outdoors, so this is really a venue for the spring and summer months. A marquee is a good backup just in case of less-than-perfect weather. With so much space on the grass and in front of the house, as well as by the swimming pool, weddings at Château de Tourreau are stunning in the sunshine.
