Sit back and imagine driving through one of the most beautiful parts the of Provençal countryside, through olive groves, vineyards and winding roads and eventually arriving at the magical Chateau de Berne. Let us welcome you to this Relasis & Châteaux property which sits beautifully within 2,471 acres and is naturally at the top of our list for one of the best wedding venues in Provence.
Château de Berne is property that offers something for all guests. Whilst not participating in wedding activities, guests can take advantage of the spa, wine tastings, cooking classes or of course, relax by one of the picturesque pools.
Follow along to see what your wedding at Château de Berne might look like...
Château de Berne is a larger property than might meet the eye on first glance. Not only is it home to their jaw-dropping Relasis & Châteaux hotel (34 rooms) but it also has a private castle (7 double rooms), Villa Maison Fito (6 rooms) and Bastide des Gomberts (4 rooms) for a total of 51 rooms across the property.
One of our favourite areas of accommodation is the 18th century château which until recently was a family home and has now been refurbished for Château de Berne guests to rent privately and enjoy. Did we mention it has it's own secret access to the spa?
For guests like us, who prioritise food & beverage, you truly have the crème of the crop at Berne. For a gastronomic feast there is the 1-Michelin star restaurant, ‘Le Jardin de Berne’ or something more casual ‘Le Bistrot’ is a must. While walking around the property, be sure to stop and admire all of the beautiful fruit and vegetables which the team grow on site ensuring ultimate freshness for guests and help in Château de Berne's sustainability missions.
Château de Berne is a dream for weddings of all sizes- whether you are looking for an intimate microwedding or a fete with up to 220 of your friends and family, there are options for everyone.
If asking our favorite locations onsite, we would have to choose the town square for the ceremony and drinks reception followed by an al fresco dinner on La Terrasse de Berne- it really doesn't get more Provençal.
As mentioned previously, Château de Berne is home to 690 hectares of organic vineyards and farmlands, so your visit wouldn't be complete without taking part in one of the wine cellar tours or cooking classes onsite.
If looking for a wedding venue that has it all, this gem is hard to beat.
