5 Benefits Of Destination Weddings

Are you currently dreaming of a destination wedding but not sure if it’s the right move? We get it, it’s a big and sometimes tough decision. Although, if you ask us, we always love destination weddings (especially in Italy and France!). Hopefully, this blog will help you make up your mind with a summary of 5 benefits of getting married abroad.

1. Almost guaranteed sunshine

Everyone wants sunshine on their wedding, are we right or what? Sadly, in most places a guarantee of sunshine is not realistic, unless you’re thinking of having a wedding overseas. Although it does rain in the South of France, Italy and Spain, it’s SO much less than the questionable-at-best weather patterns in the UK or the States.

2. A vacation for everyone

There is nothing better then being in a romantic, beautiful and quiet setting with all of your nearest and dearest. We all have those friends and family who have needed a vacation for a while but just cannot seem to get to the booking stage. Make that decision for them and plan your wedding abroad. It will be the most memorable vacation for everyone.

3. Smaller guest list

Oh the guest list- almost as hard as the subject of budget. We know all too well that everyone has friends and family that you ‘have’ to invite. Oh, and then there are the friends who ask for a plus one. Eye roll. With a destination wedding you can leap over this topic. Traveling is expensive, so a destination wedding is a great excuse to only invite those who you BOTH want to invite.

4. Focused and intentional time with your guests

Weddings can bring a lot of work, time and energy, especially if you don’t have a wedding planner. When getting married at home, the jobs you put on yourself seem to grow even more. When having a destination wedding, you can step away from this so much more. You will find yourself in a foreign location where you can relax and spend much more focused and intentional time with your guests.

5.  The pressure is taken away

Here’s the truth, the thought of having a destination wedding without a wedding planner or coordinator does make us wince a little bit, we’re not going to lie. But with one, all of the pressure is taken away. Let us do all of the planning, work through those language barriers, arrange all of the transportation, book more hotels and all of the tasks so that you just sit back, relax and enjoy the location and time with your family.
